What are Golfer Groups and how to use them

Using the Golfer Groups functionality within Admin Portal

Golfer Groups are a great way to organize your club's roster within Admin Portal. You can create lists of golfers or "Golfer Groups" to organize your club's roster. These Golfer Groups can then be accessed in Reports as well.

To access Golfer Groups, you will start at your club's profile in Admin Portal. From there, you will move over to the "Golfer Group" tab.

As you are getting started creating your Golfer Groups, you will first need to click the "Add Group" button towards the top of the tab. You will then create a name for the Golfer Group then click "Submit." Then, you will notice a list on the left-hand side of the page that says "Available Golfers." This is the list of golfers that are not yet assigned to the Golfer Group you are working on. By default, this list will include Inactive and Archived golfers in addition to Active golfers. To refine the Available Golfers list, you can use the search fields above the lists to refine who appears in Available Golfers.

To move golfers from the Available Golfers list to the Golfer Group, you simply need to either select the box next to their name or select the box at the top of the list to select all golfers on that refined list. Once you have the golfers you want on the Golfer Group selected, you will select the blue arrow that points towards the blank list to move the golfers to that list.

If you accidentally add the wrong golfer to your Golfer Group, you can always select the checkbox next to the golfer's name then click on the arrow that points back to the Available Golfers list. That will remove them from the Golfer Group.

After any changes you make to your Golfer Group, always make sure to click the "Save Group" button.

At the top of the Golfer Group tab, you will see a drop-down menu. This is where you will be able to access your different Golfer Groups once they have been created.

At the beginning of each year, we always recommend cleaning up your Golfer Groups because if golfers are Inactive, they will remain on the Golfer Group until they are manually removed.
