What is a Membership Type and why is it important?

Membership Types and why it is important to use the correct ones

In Admin Portal, every golfer must be assigned a Membership Code. This code is very important for billing both at the USGA level as well as the WA Golf level. Membership Codes are designed to be used based on the golfer's age and type of membership.

Below are the types of Membership Codes used by Washington Golf:

  • J (Junior) - the Junior Membership Code should only be used for golfers 17 years old and under. This Membership Code has a Bill Rate of $5. Once the golfer turns 18, they must be moved over to the Regular membership code.
  • R (Regular) - the Regular Membership Code should be used for any golfer 18 and older. This Membership Code has a Bill Rate that is set to the current Washington Golf dues.
  • A (Associate) - the Associate Membership Code is used for golfers that sign up through the Washington Golf Online Join/Renew system for an Associate membership. Only clubs participating in the Associate Member Network (AMN) will see this Membership Code on their roster. Participating AMN clubs should not manually assign members to this Membership Code.
